Boston Spine Clinics
Vivianne Oliveira
External Assistant
Vivianne is Boston Spine Clinics’ first "external" chiropractic assistant (CA) in Somerville, Boston area. She was our front desk CA for two years but has moved on to more formally pursue her legal training at another job. However, she remains a valuable resource for us in that she is still often called upon to act as a liason and interpreter with the Brazilian community as well consult with us on the medical/legal aspects of what we do. She hails from the town of Cruzeiro, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Vivianne has been and will remain a permanent and welcome member of the BSCs team of professionals. She is a true polyglot speaking Portuguese, Spanish and English fluently. Her background in both languages and humanities has made her an extremely effective CA here in Somerville, Massachusetts where the ethnic mix is a combination of Brazilians, Dominicans, Irish and Italians (and one German Chiropractor). Vivianne is one of the most educated CAs we’ve ever had; she graduated from the Instituto de Ensino Superior de Cruzeiro where she attained her A.E. in education majoring in Portuguese literature/language and English language. She later attended the Universidade do Vale do Paraiba which is a law school in the state of Sao Paulo for one year. During all this, she also attended the Fisk Private
School studying Spanish for three years. Circumstances took her to the United Stated before she could get her law degree however. Currently, she is attending Harvard University night school in their extension program majoring in humanities. She is also teaching Portuguese in downtown Boston at the Boston Center for Adult Education. As an off site assistant, she still assistes with elements of insurance verification and interfacing with some of our patients including, as stated, interpreting for Dr. Haberströh. Vivianne hopes to obtain her B.S. degree from Harvard at some point in the future and then continue on in Law School.
Dalkys Encarnacion
Chiropractic Assistant
Dalkys is our newest team member at Boston Spine Clinics. She was born in Salem, MA but her family hails originally from the town of San Pedro deMacoris in the Dominican Republic. She has lived here in Massachusetts her entire life but is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. She graduated from the Lynn English High School and later attended the famed Bryman Institute where she received her Medical Assistant degree.
Dalkys handles most of the front desk intake as well as interfacing with all of our patients, translating when needed, handling aspects of the physical exams and other duties. She has been a big hit with everyone since joining us. She and her family here in the U.S. make yearly trips to the Dominican Republic to visit all of her relatives there, which renews her family roots regularly.
DR. HABERSTROH IS A CHIROPRACTOR IN BOSTON AND SOMERVILLE.
